SYNOPSIS FOR: Split
Split is an excellent psychological thriller in which James McAvoy plays a man suffering from dissociative identity disorder, a man with multiple personalities who can change their body chemistry with their thoughts. Twenty three separate identities live in Kevin’s body ranging from a 9 year old boy to the beast that is buried deep but threatens to take over.
The film begins with him kidnapping three high school girls and holding them in an underground bunker against their will. While they try to determine why they are being held and how they are going to escape, they never know which of his personalities will manifest itself next. Some of these personalities are kind and others are definitely not.
The girls must figure out which ones they can trust to help them and which ones they need to fear.
