Beach Rats is a gay coming of age movie starring newcomer Harris Dickinson as a teenager who is trying to come to terms with his sexuality.
In an effort to distance himself from his bleak home life on the outskirts of Brooklyn, his Dad is bedridden and dying of cancer, he fluctuates between hanging out with his delinquent friends, pursuing a potential relationship with a girl, and hooking up with older men that he meets online.
