SYNOPSIS FOR: From the Land of the Moon
From the Land of the Moon is a melodrama based on the 2006 novella written by Italian author, Milena Agus.
Set in France in the 1950s, the story centers around Gabrielle a bored housewife trapped in a loveless marriage.
When she suffers a miscarriage her doctor recommends a spa treatment in the Alps. While there, she falls in love with a wounded soldier, Andre Sauvage, and they plan to run away together only to be torn apart when Gabrielle recovers.
