SYNOPSIS FOR: Novitiate
Novitiate is a drama set in the early 1960s. A teenaged girl follows her heart and enters the convent to become a nun. Sister Cathleen enters the order as a postulant for training under the strict tutelage of the Reverend Mother, God’s representative on Earth.
A shining testament to the power of belief the movie focuses on the hardships these girls must endure and their struggles with issues of faith, the changing church and sexuality.
